He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Ogden and Fielder H. Botting; the mother of his children Judith A. Botting (Gordon); his sons, Leon Botting (Tinker) and Feilder H. Botting (Alan); and his brothers, Ronald, Owen, Neal and Dale.
He is survived by: his children, Brent Botting (Linda) of Patten, Laurie L. Botting (Wade Johnson), Karen V. Botting of Greenwood and Darcy L. Botting of Island Falls; his daughter-in-law Darlene Botting-Stevens of Merrill; his sister Kathy Parks of Houlton; his grandchildren, Bille-Jo (Larry), Sanford Jr., Leon (TJ), Tracy, Stephanie (Russell Stewart), Brent Jr., Chad, Kenneth III, Savannah (Casey Baumgardner) and Isaac; his cousin Victor Botting (Delores); and his close friends, Tom Crandall, Lyle Mitchell (Linda) of Connecticut and Joe Banavige of Minnesota. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
