He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil LaCoote and Grace LaCoote (Gabriel); and his brother Archie LaCoote. He is survived by: his wife Siobhan "Chevy" LaCoote (Jervis); his brothers, Basil LaCoote Jr, Dan LaCoote (Stacey) and Stephen LaCoote; his nephews, Dan LaCoote Jr. and Jordan LaCoote; his niece Leona LaCoote; his godchild Mirage White-Sockabasin; and his pets, Goober and Spike. He is also survived by his six children.
