It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Van Vorse (Hudson, Maine), born in Concord, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 28, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Margaret Helen Van Vorse (Casey) and Leonard E. Van Vorse of Maynard, MA.; his wife Dorothy; his siblings, Dolores Edgar (Van Vorse), Virginia Murphy (Van Vorse) and Raymond Van Vorse of Maynard; his daughters, Colleen Szymcik of Worcester Ma and Kathleen Van Vorse Hill of Pomfret Center; his grandchildren, Anne, Kevin Bernard, Ryan and Nathaniel Beckman; and his great grandchildren, Olivia Curren and Ben Curren.
Due to concerns about COVID-19, a Mass and Celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
Donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, a veteran's organization, or for hunger relief.
