He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Doane and Marion Doane; his parents-in-law, Bill and Aura Graham; his brother Stuart Doane; his brother-in-law Barrie Sutherland; his nephew Dirk Sutherland; and his cousin Lawrence Milton.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Doane (Graham); his sons, John Doane (Marianne), David Doane, Paul Doane (Jennifer) and Peter Doane (Jodi); his grandchildren, Gregory, Carlton, Nathan, Ryan, Megan, Kara and Taylor; his siblings, Milton Doane (Polly), Gerald Doane (Joanne) and Joyce Sutherland; his sister-in-law Betty Doane; and his close friends, Craig and Renee Austin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, and friends.
