It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Hand (Houlton, Maine), who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roger Hand to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Uberto Guy and Esther Hand (Byron); his siblings, Averil Hutchinson (Llewllyn), Dorothy Colby (Jasper), Byron Hand (Mary), Fremont Hand (Gail) and Paulene Stewart (Merle); his daughter-in-law Sherry Hand (McLaughlin); his nephew Gregg Byron Hutchinson; and his niece Barbara Wright (Hutchinson).

He is survived by: his wife Carol Hand (Koenig); and his children, Lou Ann Dwyer (William) of Florida, Sharon Woodworth (Steven) of Houlton and Albert Hand (Sherry) of Houlton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Bridge to Hope, att: Kim Folsom, 300 Foxcroft Road, Houlton or leave donation with the funeral home.

“I hope and pray that I'm speaking of the correct Roger Hand, but I met him back in the 1978-1980 timeframe. I often think of him, as he was so very kind and he was the only steel guitar player I ever played with, including once at Houlton's American Legion. He was outstanding! Sometimes we don't maintain a connection with others through life, but like Roger was to me, they remain in our thoughts. Every time I sit down at the drums to play a country song I recall his gift. God bless you!”
