He was predeceased by: his father John Francis Lawless; and his brother Kevin. He is survived by: his mother Joan Gartner (Sabie); his wife Kathryn of Houlton; his father-in-law Dennis of Redmond, OR; his sister Joan Lawless (Kirk Thomas) of Fairfield, CA.; and his pets, Pelly, Yogi, Eloise, Zoe, Oliver, Gary, Giuseppe, Rosie, Prudence, Harley and Amelia.
He was a total history geek, from his teenage visit to the King Tut exhibit at the Field Museum, to exploring the ruins of Pompeii, to listening to history podcasts while doing goat chores (sporting his infamous Crocs, of course!) Rob delighted in connecting with people and their stories and enjoyed spending time as a "Friendly Volunteer" with the Aroostook Agency on Aging's RSVP program.
