He was predeceased by: his parents, Katie Boyd (Durost) and John "Jack" Boyd; and his siblings, Arnold, Wallace Boyd, Lillian Burke, Eva Bierce and Olga Beattie.
He is survived by: his wife Linda (Lindy-Lu); his children, Rebecca McCrum (Galen) of Georgia, Fred Boyd (Ethelyn) of Mars Hill, Christine Lane (Michael) of Hudson and Joe Boyd (Roxie) of Mars Hill; his grandchildren, Todd, Leslie, Ryan, Jennifer, Aaron, Aimee, Shea, Brandon, Alisha, Brad, Greg, Sandy, Mike and Diana; his siblings, Ronald Boyd and Ilene Burtchell; and also Amanda Vaillancourt. He is also survived by 31 Great Grandchildren and many nieces/nephews and cousins, one special niece.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to remember Norris in a special way make contributions payable to United Baptist Church of Mars Hill Memorial Fund designated in the memory of Norris Boyd.
