He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome B. Gantnier and Lillian Gantnier (Dubay); his wife Joan Proctor; and his children, Marcia Jean, Jerome Robert and Mark Benedict.
He is survived by: his children, Louis (Ngoc), Michael (Deb), Diane (Guy Larkin), Sharon (Tom Darling) and John (Rose); his sister Louise Cote of East Millinocket; his siblings-in-law, Richard Proctor of Orrington, Lyle Gray of Millinocket, Valerie Proctor of Midlothian, VA and Carolyn Gray of Orrington; and his brother John Gantnier. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and many great (and a great-great) grandchildren.
