It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Porter in Houlton, Maine, born in Island Falls, Maine, who passed away on July 11, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lendal Howard and Anna Howard (Given). She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Porter of Island Falls; her sons, Mark (Sharon Porter) of Crystal and John R. Porter of Sherman; her grandchildren, Nichole, Nate, Cole and Tyson; her great grandchildren, Shiloh, Shema and Anislee; and her siblings, Dorothy Rand of Sherman, Mary (Peter Harris) and Steven (Cathy Howard).
