He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles I Smith and Madeline Smith (Paradis); his wife Etta; and his children, Noel M Potter and Franklin L. Tompkins.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Smith (Karen), Sandra Smith, Hill, Bill Price, Kimberly Wright (Millard), Leone Sanford (Kevin) and Michael Gray (Renee); and his brothers, Richard Smith and Roger Smith.
