He was predeceased by: his former wife Sylvia Stinson Smith of Harford, CT; his parents, Miles Smith and Dora Smith; and his siblings, Ruby Sjoberg, Weldon Smith, Evelyn Duff and Flora Duff.
He is survived by: his sons, William Richard (Tracey Smith) of Houlton, ME and Ronald Scott Smith (Melinda Smith) of Glastonbury, CT; his wife Louise London of New Limerick, ME.; and his grandchildren, Amanda Odom, Catlin Smith, David Smith, Zachary, Jacob and Ryan Smith. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
