With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Jayne Stone of Houlton, Maine, born in Smyrna Mills, Maine, who passed away on March 21, 2023 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elizabeth Jayne Stone to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clair E. Anderson and Helen Anderson (Kilgore); and her husband Ervin L Stone. She is survived by: her daughter Heidi; her son-in-law Richard Venuti; her granddaughter Elizabeth Jean Venuti; her stepgrandchildren, Robert Venuti, Suzanne Venuti Cohen and Donna Venuti; her sister-in-law Thelma Stone Henderson; her cousins, Arlene Crosby, Kevin Anderson, Haskell (Craig) and Ronald Anderson; and her friend Brenda Reed Thompson.
After attaining her BSEd, Betty was a beloved and dedicated teacher at Houlton High School, along with Ervin, until her retirement but continued to teach as a substitute until the COVID epidemic.
