He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Kirner and Charlotte Kirner (Parks); his sister Phyllis Thomas; his sister-in-law Nina; and his nieces, Debbie Varney and Wanda Folsom.
He is survived by: his significant other Nina Kirner; his siblings, Robert Kirner and Carol Jopp; his daughter Beth Sylvia (Charlie) of Houlton; his grandchildren, Ryan Sylvia, Samantha Kearney of Mapleton, Amanda Varney of Waterville, Jared, Melissa Sylvia of Houlton, Michelle and Levi Slike of Hampden; and his in-laws, Wayne, Maxine Farrar, Richard and Maureen McQuarrie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
