He is survived by: his grandson Andrew Cossman; and his children, Shirley Armitage, Alvin Stearns Jr. (Laura), Pauline Cossman (Allan) and Matthew Stearns. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
