He was predeceased by: his parents, Foster and Kathleen; and his siblings, Larry Tibbetts, Sherwood Brooks, Dale Brooks and Deborah Verzoni.

He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Brooks (Pelkie); his children, Kevin Brooks (Tammi), Dawn Butler (Randy), Richard Brooks (Kim) and Mark Brooks (Sarah); his siblings, Phyllis Braley (Tom), Danny Brooks and Wendy Brooks; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Tibbetts, Jeanne Brooks and David Verzoni. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
