He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Derrick Robbins; his parents, George D. Carter and Bernice Carter (Taylor); his sister Corinne Carter; and his grandson Derrick Robbins.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Carter (Cobb); his sister Geraldine Carter; his son George D. Carter; his grandchildren, Melissa Carter, Zachary Carter and Nicholas Carter; his daughter Dolores (Duncan Sullivan); his grandchildren, Erin Bourque, Lindsay Roarty, Hillary Becker and Lauren Cotter; his daughter Shizele Carter (Montelle Sargent); his grandchildren, Rachel Dragon, Jennifer Simpson and Solomon Dragon; his daughters, Juanita Carter-Egan (John Egan) and Hali Egan; his child-in-law Mariliyn (Lenny Lawson); his grandchildren, Morgan Lawson, Cameron Lawson and Maria Carter (Joe Carr); and his great grandchildren, Natasha Robbins and Amanda Robbins. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
