She was predeceased by: her parents, Winthrop Mckinstry and Marion Watkins Mckinstry (Hunter); and her aunt Grace Mckinstry. She is survived by: her husband Robert Hawes; her sons, Robert of Hampden, Joel (Betsy Frost-Hawes), Steven (Belen Wieler) and Ethan (Kimberly Keegan); her grandchildren, Ethan (Sarah Carter), Nicholas (Kaeleigh Chartrand Hawes), Rachel, Jonathan, Aidan, Benjamin and Anna (Addison); her great grandchild Molly Jean Hawes; her brother John Mckinstry (Anne Sargent) of Great Barrington, MA; and her nieces, Laurel McKinstry Peterson (Glenn) of Albany and Janet McKinstry (Greg Schmolze) of Great Barrington. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
