It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Galli Bachelder of Hallowell, Maine, born in Augusta, Maine, who passed away on June 6, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Bachelder and Alice Bachelder; his sisters, Mary Sproul and Patricia Crowley; and his wife Elizabeth Heselton Bachelder (Betty).

He is survived by: his children, Susan (Leon Hadiaris) of Saco, Judith (Tom Bullitt) of Boston, Richard (Amy Ryan) of York, Patricia (Dan Parker) of Cumberland, Joshua, Ari Hadiaris (Eddie), Jennifer, Ryan Desrochers (Abe), Ben, Jess Bullitt (Nash), Lily Bullitt, John, Leslie Bullitt (Walker), Meg, Billy Bachelder, Emily, Matt Birchby (Parker), Libby, Jake Nilsson (Corey), Anna Parker, Kate (Michael Coster) of Falmouth, David Stein (Nell), Jack, Jesse Coster and Maggie Coster; his in-laws, George, Betty Heselton and Bill Heselton; and his friend Dick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
