She was predeceased by: her parents, Rodney John and Mary Gertrude Leighton (Allen); her son Thaxter Jones, Jr.; her siblings, Duane Maurice Leighton and Janet Elaine Leighton Taylor; her grandson Christopher Turner; and her great grandchild George Buchan.
She is survived by: her spouse Thaxter B. Jones; her children, Cynthia Opal Jones, Cindy (Brian Turner), April (Peter Buchanan) and Bruce Jones (Cathy); her grandchildren, Daniel Buchanan (Misty, Sara-Mae), Charity Buchanan Buchan (Nathan, Chad Jones), David Buchanan (Jill Ihle) and Brandon Jones (Megan); her great grandchildren, Ian, Grace, Claire, Lucy, Lincoln, Anne, Griffin, Elana, Madelyn, Jonathan, Jadynn, Owen, Egan, Shawn, Logan, Dustin, Kayla, Mason and Rachel; her siblings-in-law, Maurice, Robert Wyman and Charlene Leighton; her close friend Marilyn Buchanan; and her pet Scotty. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
