He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruby Huff Shaffer and Raymond Mills Shaffer; his wife Jeanette "Jini" Shaw; his friend Peter Haddock; his sisters, Barbara Sherburne and Dottie Bullard; his children, Michael Shaffer (Kathie Curnick) and Betsy Rockwell (Rocky); his grandchildren, Ruby Goodmen, Anne Rockwell, Liza Dewitt (Anson) and Alex Rockwell (Holland); and also, Ruby, Michael and Betsy. He was also cherished by great grandchildren.
A reception will follow at the Bucksport Golf Club.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elm Street Congregational Church, POB 878, and Bucksport, Maine 04416.
