She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Hodgkins and Doris Howe Hodgkins; and her sister Carolyn. She is survived by: her husband Carl Bates; her daughters, Cheryl (Jon Adams) of Lisbon Falls and Laurie (Ron Davis) of Moultonborough, NH.; her grandchildren, Kimberly (Jonathan Shields) of Bangor, Rebecca (Ian McLean) of Smithfield, RI, Matthew Adams, Nathan McNear (Lindsey Smith) and Kelly McNear (Herbert Watson) of Clinton; and her great grandchildren, Silas, Josie, Dylan, Paige, Matthew, Kyliee and Herbie.
