He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Johnson and Nellie Isabelle (Preston); his wife Sandy (Woodbury); and his siblings, Edith Seigars, Paula Randall and Oliver "Ollie" Johnson.

He is survived by: his sister Connie Smith of Richmond; his children, Terry Hawkins (Johnson) of Portland, Linda Johnson of Gorham, David Johnson of Carrollton and Alan Johnson; his grandchildren, Nicholas Orlando (Heather) of Portland and Angela Ferland (Russ) of Auburn; his sons, Charles Widdis (Mandy) of Westbrook and Brenna Chalifour (AJ) of Gorham; his great grandchildren, Talia Gilbert (Reed) of Pittston, Sarah Ferland, Chase, Lia Orlando, Evelyn and Bennett Chalifour; and his great great grandchild Rose Gilbert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
