He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Barnes and Helene Barnes (Ellis); his son Robert W. Barnes of Standish; and his brother-in-law Eugene Thibodeau. He is survived by: his wife Christine Barnes (Thibodeau) of Gorham; his son Richard "Ricky" Barnes (Becky) of Steep Falls; his daughter-in-law Lynn Roy of Standish; his siblings-in-law, Gary Paul Thibodeau (Cindy) of South Portland, Gloria Ahern of South Portland and Pat Thibodeau of Mesa, AZ; his grandchildren, April Rose (Kyle) of Newington, CT, Marlene, Kevin and Eric of Ft. Smith, AR; and his great grandchildren, Jasmine, Blake and Braxton. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
