We are sad to announce that on June 13, 2024, at the age of 101, John B. Alden in Gorham, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Austin Albert Alden and Grace Burnham Alden; his spouse Shirley Berry; and his children, Deborah Ann Loveitt (Alden), Susan Priscilla Murray (Alden), John Gardner Alden and Heather Louise Alden-Paredes. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great- grandchildren.
