He was predeceased by: his father Alton H. Benson; and his brother Robert Benson. He is survived by: his mother Katherine Benson (Young) of Gorham; his wife Rebakah Benson; his children, Kati King (Brian) of Gorham, Erica Hale (Brandon) of Gorham and Eben Benson of New York City; his grandchildren, Adelyn King of Gorham, Ruth King of Gorham, Ayden Hale of Gorham, Arya Hale of Gorham, Eleanor Hale of Gorham and Elliott Hale of Gorham; and his siblings, Sally (Bill Moore) of Limington, Mary Emerson of Gorham and Alton "Bud" (Pam Benson) of Gorham. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and in-laws.
