He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Edith Corrine Hayford Grant; his children, Gail Hood, Charlie Gould of South Portland, Deborah Stiteler, Daniel Grant, Linda Evans of Gorham and David Grant; and also, Jennie, Greg, Bobby Hood, John, Matt Stiteler, George, Brittany and Isabell Grant. He was also cherished by his sons and grandsons.
