William Schacht Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2018, at the age of 87, William Schacht (Gardiner, Maine) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Fred Schacht and Laura Schacht (Bradford); his spouse Roberta Blodgett; his daughters, Roseanne Schacht of Bridgton, Hope Ricker and Bruce Alexander Jr. of Pittston; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Ricker (Shaina Buhler) of Pittston and Melissa Jordan (Dan) of Porter; his great grandchildren, Paige Ricker and Grady Jordan; his sister Claudia Caspole (Robert) of Gardiner; his nieces and nephews, Lynn Michaud, Jane Beckwith, Susan Jenssen, Eric Caspole and David Caspole; and his pet Molly.

Believing that family always comes first, Bill took loving care of his wife during her battle with Alzheimer's Disease; performed as an enthusiastic cheerleader at his daughters' educational and sporting events; supported his grandchildren's and nieces' and nephews' endeavors; and was always there for his immediate and extended family.
