With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna Dickerson (Gardiner, Maine), born in Johnson City, Tennessee, who passed away on December 27, 2017 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Verna Dickerson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Lois Osborne, Doris Minton, James Osborne, Ronnie Osborne and Dewey Osborne.
She is survived by: her parents, Dewey P. and Cordie L. Osborne (Greene); her brothers, John Osborne and Timothy Osborne; her children, Susan Reed (Bobby) of Jonesboro, Sheila Couch (Dennis) of Johnson City, Michael McGaha of Gaithersburg and Kathleen Cutler (Troy) of Pittston; and her grandchildren, Sandra Quiggle, Matthew Reed, Mark Reed, Ashley McGaha, Jonas McGaha, Kaitlyn Garloff and Madison Cutler. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Alzheimer's Center in Gardiner, Glen Ridge Nursing Home in Augusta and Maine General Hospice for the dignity and care afforded to our mother.
