He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Hanley and Florence H. Hanley; his daughters, Stephanie Ruth and Molly Kate; his siblings, Terence Missing (Terry) and Cheryl Hamilton; and his brothers-in-law, Kimball Fraser and Richard Lechette.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila White Hanley; his children, Eben, Luke Whalen of Stephen Hanley, II and Vienna (Paula); his grandchildren, Joseph, Lily and Samuel; his siblings, Edward Hanley (Adrienne), Barbara Lechette, James "Jay" Hanley (Steven Wentworth), Alicia Fraser, John Hanley (Linda), Jeffery Hanley (Sally), Lawrence Hamilton and George Snead; his siblings-in-law, Brenda Fowler (David) and Robert White (Kristine); and his cousin Anne Cough. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
