She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Hathaway and Josephine Hathaway (Brown); her sisters-in-law, Wynnie Hathaway and Lorraine Hathaway; her brothers, Irvin, Robert, Donald, David, Dewey, Richard and John Hathaway; and her nephew Jonathan Hathaway.
She is survived by: her husband Wallace Brown Jr.; her children, Heather Basson (Jody) and Matthew Brown (Rona); her grandchildren, Craig Basson, Melissa Mocciola (Zac, Emily), Stephanie Brown and Robynn Fortner; her sister-in-law Lillian Dolloff; and her siblings, Paul Hathaway (Terry) and Jane Cone. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
