She was predeceased by: her husband William G. Hathaway; and her brother John J. Quinn. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Hathaway of Surry, John Hathaway (Suellen) of Kennebunkport and Mark Hathaway of Englewood; her brother-in-law Jim Hathaway (Polly); and her grandchildren, Christiaan Highsmith (Meredith Osborn), Jamie Highsmith (Rachel), Jessi Hathaway, Bryan Raymond, Caitlin Hathaway of South Portland, Elizabeth Hathaway of San Francisco, Ephraim Hathaway of Texas, Garnet Hathaway of Calgary and Molly Hathaway Hanley (Nate Hanley) of Dresden.
Louise has requested any donations be made to her Louise Q. and William G. Hathaway Fund created to support the purchase of reading materials for the Gardiner Public Library, one of Louise's greatest passions.
