He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Richard, Sr. and Margaret Spear (Barry); his son Daniel Spear; and his sister Pat Bennett. He is survived by: his sons, Mark Spear (Susan) of Readfield and Peter Strong (Mel) of Seattle; his daughter-in-law Tammy Spear (David) of West Gardiner; his grandchildren, Rodney Spear of Sidney, Brooke Quirion of West Gardiner, Hayley Spear of Kennebunk, Ryan Spear of Chelsea and Kasie Grant of Farmingdale; his great grandchildren, Brad, Myah, Brianna, Oliver and Sydney; and his significant other Beverly Lugden of Orono. He is also survived by nephews, stepchildren.
