It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Richard Spear (Gardiner, Maine), who passed away on May 26, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Herman Richard, Sr. and Margaret Spear (Barry); his son Daniel Spear; and his sister Pat Bennett. He is survived by : his sons, Mark Spear (Susan) of Readfield and Peter Strong (Mel) of Seattle; his daughter-in-law Tammy Spear (David) of West Gardiner; his grandchildren, Rodney Spear of Sidney, Brooke Quirion of West Gardiner, Hayley Spear of Kennebunk, Ryan Spear of Chelsea and Kasie Grant of Farmingdale; his great grandchildren, Brad, Myah, Brianna, Oliver and Sydney; and his significant other Beverly Lugden of Orono. He is also survived by nephews, stepchildren.
