She is survived by: her children, Benjamin Herbert Rankins and Valerie Ann Hill; her grandchildren, Meeghan, Kaci, Jordan and Taylor; her great grandchildren, Levi and Jace; her grandparent Program Maria Staples; and also, Lisa and Brad.

The family invites donations in Erlene's name to Penquis Foster Grandparent Program in lieu of flowers.
