We are sad to announce that on November 12, 2018, at the age of 62, Debra Elaine Newell (Gardiner, Maine) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin J. Gilmore and Barbara E. Hicks (Dessler); her brother Craig D. Gilmore; and her aunt Patti D. Ewen. She is survived by: her former husbands, David L. Smith and Norman L. Newell Jr.; her daughters, Elaine M. Smith of Farmingdale and Danielle S. Newell of Cape Coral, Fla.; her granddaughter Maizie R. Blodgett of Farmingdale; her stepfather Charles Hicks of Gardiner; and her brothers, Michael J. Gilmore of Mercer and Timothy M. Gilmore (Debi) of Dayton.
She also is survived by her nieces and nephews: Jeremiah Gilmore, Christopher Gilmore, Dillon Gilmore, and Christina and Brianna Michaud.A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec 15, at Christ Church Episcopal, 2 Dresden Ave., Gardiner.In lieu of flowers, the familyrequests donations be made toThe American Cancer SocietyDonate.cancer.org.
