It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Joan Brockway (Freeport, Maine), born in Topsham, Maine, who passed away on October 15, 2016, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary H. Briggs and James "Cyclone" Sawyer; her brothers, Richard "Chip" Sawyer and Theodore "Chester" Briggs; and her stepfather George Briggs.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas A Brockway; her children, Sherry Duncan (Steve) of Fleming Island, FL, Wendy Rowe (David) of Woodland Park, CO, Kimberly Swasey (Steve) of Andover, Maine and Mark Brockway (Jackie Downing) of Freeport, Maine.; her grandchildren, Erica, Chad, Matthew, Katrina, Christopher and Andrew; her great grandchildren, Haylie, Garrett, Preston, Dylan and Baylee; her uncle George Fox; and her siblings, George Briggs (Diane) and Rebecca Dennison. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family/friends.
