He was predeceased by: his parents, William Small and Leona Small (Beane); his siblings, Wallace, Lawrence, Carroll, Anna May Shardlow and Gertrude Crowley; and his grandson Joseph Breton.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Huart Small; his brothers, Carl Small and Gerald McCrillis; his cousin Cecilia Stanley; his nephew Wyn Enman; his children, Sherry Hallett (Earl), Rhonda Bickford (Gary) and Harold Small Jr.; and his stepchildren, Steve Cutler (Arlene), Lynda Twitchell (Paul), Mark and Shelley Keene. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
