He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Batchelder and Alvah Batchelder of Frankfort, Maine.; and his former wife Elnora Fay Carney (Polly). He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Kindal (Ron), Nancy Laurion, Sabrina Mathay (Jim) and Teresa Hoffman (Chris); his brothers, Kenneth Batchelder (Marge), Edwin Batchelder (Sharon) and Vaughn Batchelder; his stepchildren, Robert Patchett (Kat), Tom Patchett (Angie) and Amy Patchett; his wife Vicki; his sister-in-law Randee Batchelder; and his grandson Ronald Hoffmann. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, two nieces, two nephews.
A masonic service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pray Funeral Home (401 W Seminary St, Charlotte, MI 48813). Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Custer National Cemetery (15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012).
