With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Kenneth Plourde of Fort Kent, Maine, born in Eagle Lake, Maine, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Kenneth left this world on March 31, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Rolande Plourde (Guy); his wife Kathleen Plourde (Gibbons); his sons, Dana and Steven Plourde; and his siblings, Claudelle, Linda and Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Anne Taylor (Rusty) of Houlton, Roger Plourde (Sandy) of St. Lazare, Bill Plourde (Marie) of Fort Kent and Allen Plourde (Sheila) of Cape Elizabeth; his stepdaughter Christina Bush (Dennis) of Nashville, MI.; and his siblings, Maxine Boucher of Caribou and Carl Plourde (Emily) of Plantsville, CT. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home (14 E Main St, Fort Kent, ME 04743). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Louis Church (26 E Main St, Fort Kent, ME 04743).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ken's memory to the Fort Kent Fire Department.
