He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph E. Leighton and Ruby M. Leighton (Saunders). He is survived by: his wife Dianne G. Leighton (Everett); his son Chad Leighton of Caswell; his brother-in-law Rea (Andy Caldwell); his nieces and nephews, Jesse Caldwell of Houlton and Leah Caldwell of Limestone; his great-nieces, Emily LaPointe of Limestone and Charlotte Tibbert of Limestone; his friend Kurt Derrah of Limestone; and his uncle Donald Saunders (Mary) of Limestone. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.
