He was predeceased by: his parents, George McLaughlin and Beulah McLaughlin (Curry); his daughter-in-law Patricia Smith McLaughlin; and his sisters, Nathalie McLaughlin and Camila Lee Roix.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy McLaughlin of Fort Fairfield; his brother R. H.; his sister-in-law Lorraine McLaughlin of Eddington; his sister Christina; his brother-in-law Bill Latham of Mt. Vernon; his children, Vaughn McLaughlin (Vicki King), George (Tammie McLaughlin), Martha (Drew Hadley), Jason McLaughlin (Robin Grant), Kent McLaughlin (Lisa Simko) and Meg (Brad Hegemann); and his grandchildren, James, Amanda McLaughlin, Brittany, Brian Cusick, Brendan, Kaitlyn McLaughlin, Christie King Rosado, Randy King, Mitchell, Nathan McLaughlin, Sean, Megan, Jennifer Hadley, Tyler, Jonathan McLaughlin, Michael, Shane, Rose McLaughlin, Aaron, Krystal Gagne, Emma, Zachary and Grace Hegemann.
The family asks that everyone wear a mask and follow distancing guidelines.
He requested memorial donations to the United Parish Church, P.O. Box 407, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742, "so young people may come to know God through Jesus Christ.".
