It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Demerchant (Fort Fairfield, Maine), born in Caribou, Maine, who passed away on August 20, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar E. DeMerchant and Frances E. DeMerchant (Ginn); and his brothers, Bobby, Rodney and Philip.
He is survived by: his wife Judy DeMerchant; his children, Christopher DeMerchant of Fort Fairfield, Frances Cote (Joseph) of Fort Fairfield and Benjamin DeMerchant of Augusta; his grandchildren, Seth of Fort Fairfield, Kailyn of Fort Fairfield and Samantha of Fort Fairfield; and his sister Susan Forcier (David) of Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
