He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul V. Shinsky and Praxeda Shinsky (Glowacka); his daughter Kathy Malakowski; his siblings, Paul, Tom, Barbara and Louise; and his great grandchild Robert Edwin Shinsky.
He is survived by: his close friend Florence Thompson of Fort Fairfield; his son Jerry E.; his daughter-in-law Elaine Shinsky of Ruckersville, VA; and his grandchildren, Jerry Lee Shinsky of Ruckersville, VA, Joseph Theodore Shinsky of Ruckersville, VA and April Eileen Shinsky of Ruckersville, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
