He is survived by: his wife Tonnie Smyth (Chapman) of Fort Fairfield; his children, Donald R. Smyth, Jr. (Hana Plourde) of Presque Isle, Boyd Smyth (Angela) of New York State, Donna R. Smyth of Fort Fairfield and Laurie Doody (Dana) of Caribou; his grandchildren, Mason Connor, Mackinzee Kathleen, Emilynne Bailey, Savanah Shae and Austin Michael; his sisters, Rose Edgecomb (David) of Fort Fairfield and Laurie Sawyer (John) of Augusta; his father-in-law William D. Chapman of Fort Fairfield; and his siblings-in-law, William "BJ" Chapman (Rose) of Gray, Vikki Donnelly of Fort Fairfield and Debbie Peters (JD) of Falmouth. He is also survived by many special friends, including his co-workers.
