She was predeceased by: her parents, Borden F. DeMerchant and Phyllis L. DeMerchant (Taylor); her husband Eugene E. Johnston; her brothers, Gary and Ellsworth DeMerchant; and her sons-in-law, Timothy Chasse and Roland Michaud.
She is survived by: her daughters, Anita Michaud of Caribou, Jennifer Chasse of Easton and Beverly Chasse (Joseph) of Fort Fairfield; her grandchildren, Todd Chasse (Lee Ann Keiser) of Easton, Wayne Chasse (Ashley) of Westfield, Amanda Guerette of Fort Fairfield and Brook Trombley (Matt) of Fort Fairfield; her great grandchildren, Rylee Chasse, Rylee Brown, Savana Brown, Cody Chasse, Alex Chasse, Andrew Gagnon, Michael Gagnon and Tatianna Rushing; her sister Rita Rattray of Fredericton; her cousin Bonny Murphy (Laurie); and also Merrietta of Upper Knoxford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
