He was predeceased by: his parents, David Mawhinney and Priscilla Mawhinney (Weeks); his son Joseph "Joe" Mawhinney; his siblings, David Mawhinney and Geraldine Mawhinney; and his granddaughter Bre Abbott Hewins.
He is survived by: his children, William "Bill" Baltrus (Tina) of Norridgewock, ME, Jan Arsenault of Jay, ME, Patty Coolidge of Rumford, ME and Jamie Plante (Tom) of Mexico, ME; his daughter-in-law Debbie Mawhinney of Dixfield; and his son Doug Mawhinney (Dawn Marie). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
