He was predeceased by: his parents, James Shores and Florence Shores (Germon); and his siblings, Leland, James, Wilson, Lendel, Doug, Irene Murch and Mabel Colson.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Knotts (Varney); his children, John (Sue), Janice Bickford (Harold) and Cynthia Isbell (Mark); his grandchildren, Tina Chartrand (Andrew), Derek Higgins (Amanda), Lance Shores (Nicole), Stacy Higgins and Peter Lee (Jessica); his stepgranddaughter Danielle Knotts; and his stepson William Knotts (Teresa). He is also survived by five great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
