He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Fortin and Louella Fortin; and his brother Leo "Billy" Fortin Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Rita Fortin; his children, Judy Fortin of Bangor, Joan Fortin (Chet Randall), Michael (Lainey Randall) and Andy Fortin (Sandy Irving); his grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Matthew, Allan Fortin (Pamela) of Fairfield, Madelyn and Jackson; his siblings, Roger Fortin of Wales, Maine, Mary Puls (James) of Walpole, N. H., Linda Lewis (Ron) of Cornville, Maine and John Fortin of Vassalboro, Maine; and also, Anthony Fortin of Portland, Timothy Fortin of Windham, Nakita Fortin of Metairie, Gary Wilber of Wasilla, Ark. and Jan Bancroft (Ryan) of New Orleans. He is also survived by five children, over the years, many more considered him a second father.
