It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Erma W. Elwell (Fairfield, Maine), born in Troy, Maine, who passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustave Ward and Olive Ward (Roberts); her husband Robert Elwell; her siblings, Helen and Morris; her son-in-law Wayne Lemieux; her stepgranddaughter Sarah Watson; and her great great grandchildren, Isabella Lemieux and Katherine White.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ruth Lemieux of Benton and Rachel Garnett (Wayne) of Big Sandy, Texas.; her grandchildren, Jamie Whitcomb (Tammy Turner) of Unity, Maine and Amy Whitcomb Brown (Craig) of Unity, Maine; her stepgrandsons, Adam Lemieux (Tania) and James Lemieux (Stacy); her great grandchildren, Dustin Whitcomb, Brooke Larrabee (Christopher), Jordan Brown, Caleb Brown, Makayla Brown, Julia White and Nicholas Lemieux; her great great grandchildren, Elaine, Atarah Larrabee, Lucas and Jacob Glidden; and her friends, Dennis and Claire Smart.
