It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy L. Sawyer (Fairfield, Maine), born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on March 1, 2018, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Byron; her sister Thelma; and her daughter Linda Knight. She is survived by: her brother Richard of Horseheads, NY; her daughter Ruth (Ray Barker) of Sidney; her grandchildren, Daren (Jayme) of Mendocino, CA and Jaime (Tony Pelotte); her great grandchildren, Lucas of Waterville and Trevor of Waterville; her grandson Randy Knight (Dawnmarie); her great grandchildren, Bryan of Grafton, MA and Svea of Grafton, MA; her grandson Kris Knight (Donna Jean); her great grandchildren, Jessica of Fairfield and Colby of Fairfield; her granddaughter Misty Knight; her great grandchild Avani of Oakland; and also Florence Stouffer of New Jersey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a very lengthy list of caring friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Lakewood Continuing Care Center, where she enjoyed a great many friends and peaceful surroundings.
