He was predeceased by: his parents, Mose Alan and Helen Janet Shaw (Eames); his wife Lynette Shaw; his son Scott Shaw; and his brother David Shaw (Maria).

He is survived by: his sons, Michael W. Shaw of South Portland and Rob Shaw of San Diego; and his siblings, Kathy Glova (Jim) of Pennsylvania, Nancy Shaw and Thomas Shaw (Holly) of Madison.
